About me

A few words about me

Life long athlete and experienced trainer

I’m Sensei Damion Williams, the founder of Diesel Street Survival and chief tactical and fitness instructor. I have competed professionally in mixed martial arts, trained with some of the best instructors in the world, and earned my 1st Dan in Tae Ju-Jitsu Ryu, 1st Dan in Sanuces Ryu Ju-Jitsu, Brown Belt in Muay Tai, Brown Belt in Taekwondo, Blue Belt in Brazillian Ju-Jitsu, and others. Some of my earliest and fondest memories involve watching David Carradine in the tv series Kung Fu with my grandfather which sparked my love for Martial Arts. Although I loved martial arts as a child, I never got the opportunity to participate in it, and as life would have it when I was 27 years old, I circled back to one of my beloved interests. Before my martial arts journey, I knew the importance of having street survival skills as I grew up in the tough streets of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and my survival skills kept me safe as I traveled from one place to another.
Long story short, I have dedicated my life to martial arts, and I feel that it is my God-given purpose to pass this knowledge onwards. My aim is to develop all my clients mentally, spiritually, and physically and I pray that I get the opportunity to work with you to help you reach your maximum potential. I look forward to seeing you.

Got questions?

Japanese Jujitsu created back in the 1800s is a form of martial arts and method of fighting that makes use of little to no weapons and uses holds, throws, and paralyzing blows to subdue an opponent/attacker. Although today, there are varying styles or modifications to the original Art, the style that I teach is Sanuces Ryu Jujitsu and it is an art that was specifically created for street self-defense.

No, I cannot teach you how to fight, but I can teach you how to defend your life so that you can cause enough damage to your assailant so that you can go home to your family. I never teach a person how to fight in the street because, in my experience, a person with this attitude tends to have bullying behavior and I do not promote this.
Yes, if you apply the right technique at the right moment if you’re threatened or your life is on the line. Our techniques are designed to subdue an attack of someone stronger/bigger because we rely on manipulating the joints of the body, therefore, causing pain to the individual trying to attack you. However, no technique is 100% accurate 100% of the time. If someone is trying to take a material thing from you, the safest bet is to just give them the material item because it is not worth it.
Your diet plays a major role in the overall success of your new fitness routine. Regardless of your fitness goals, it’s important to give your body the fuel and energy it needs to perform strenuous workouts and to recover. There are a lot of different diets out there, and when it comes down to it, the choice is personal. If I can give a general piece of advice, it would be to simply focus on including more whole foods in your diet. Try maximizing fresh fruits and veggies, so that you are giving your body the nutrients it needs for you to perform your best.

Quick fixes and toxic advice flood the internet and make it hard to build a weight loss plan that is effective long term. We believe in CONSISTENCY. Regular exercise plays a significant role in helping you shed and maintain a healthy weight by increasing your daily caloric burn. A consistent exercise regime will keep your calorie burn up and help contribute to your overall weight goals. While each person’s workout regime can vary based on their references, as a general rule a mix of cardio and strength training is critical for a well-balanced and effective weight loss plan.

When it comes to strength training, 2-3 days a week is a great place to start. Try including full-body exercises that get lots of muscles involved at once. The more muscles are working, means more calories burned during your workout. If you aim for weight loss,  2-3 days of moderate-intensity cardio and two days of vigorous-intensity cardio such as high-intensity training or plyometrics will challenge your body and encourage calorie burning well after your workout is done

We offer both. Our small group training sessions provide the best of both worlds: you get the attention to detail, help with techniques, and the group energy of support and encouragement that comes with a community. Although small-group training can work up a full-body sweat, private training sessions can go deeper and develop workouts tailored specifically to you: your injuries, abilities, preferences, and body type.
